Always
having puppies to hug and
squeeze on.
Going
through boxes of bandaids from
all the puppy nips.
Having
more than my share of
girlfriends...let's face it,
puppies and dogs are "chick
magnets"!!
Never
having a vacation that didn't
involve riding with more than
two dogs, or taking in a show as
part of the vacation.
Constantly
having to share your snacks.
Waking up
to Maestro washing my face.
Having
Hollister visit my new college
dorm and christening it before
he left!
Finding my
favorite video equipment with
the cords chewed through.
Having the
corners of my books missing .
Stepping
in a puddle of coke from one of
the TTs trying to drink from a
soda can.
Admiring
all the autographed sports
memorabilia on my walls from
having placed a puppy with the
owners of an NFL football team.
Tickets to the games.
Having
your mom show up at my marching
band contest with two TTs who
basically stole the moment!
Not being
able to go anywhere without
someone stopping us to tell us
about their dog.
Not being
able to go out to a restaurant
without someone coming over to
tell us about their dog they got
from us.
Waving
goodbye to all the cozy sit down
restaurants when we are
traveling with three TTs only to
find ourselves hitting the drive
thru and then walking them at
rest stops when they all decide
there is no way they will potty
in foreign land.
Sharing
our Florida condo with all the
TTs who love to do that run and
chase thing for two weeks
straight!
Trying to
ask my mom a question or get any
of her time when we have
puppies...the phone never stops
ringing.
Constant
cleaning , chores, and pick up,
although I was never asked to do
any of those things because my
mom always respected my right to
be a kid and enjoy my sports!
Staying up
all night to help my mom deliver
a litter when Caroline was
sick. It was actually one of my
best memories. We watched
movies all night.
Having my
8th grade pool party and our ll
yr. old golden deciding to do a
cannonball in the pool!!
Constantly
having dogs jumping in the pool,
but only when they knew my mom
wouldn't know...
Finding my
favorite new jacket with the
sleeve chewed off...how do they
know it's your favorite? I still
haven't figured that out.
Sitting
down with my girlfriend to watch
a movie and Micey climbing
between us with his bones, toys
and "snuggling' in for the
movie...that's our favorite
time.
Listening
to dog story after dog story
after dog story!
Telling
dog story after dog story after
dog story!
Having
your teachers ask you every day
at school about the new puppies
and my mom bringing puppies or
dogs to school every year from
kindergarten to high school.
In sixth grade she did an hour
presentation on showing and
brought three dogs, it was very
cool!
Seeing how
much Micey misses me when I come
home from college!
